Conrad J Heilman Jr., Ph.D.
President and CEO
Conrad has over 20 years' experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, and has extensive knowledge in research, development, manufacturing, and quality/compliance. He has managed numerous large projects for respected international firms, has achieved superior outcomes in challenging, time-sensitive compliance situations, and has helped clients meet operational, regulatory, legislative, and competitive demands. Conrad was President of Viromed Biosafety Laboratories in NJ, Vice President of Research for Pro-Virus in MD, and a Director of Applied Biotechnology at DuPont Merck Pharmaceuticals.
Brian E Kornet
CFO and Treasurer
Brian leads the fiscal function and financial operations of Tunnell Consulting, Inc. and serves as a member of the firm's Executive Committee, helping the organization craft sound business solutions that serve both our future and the well-being of our client companies. He is also a trustee of the Tunnell Consulting, Inc. ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), with responsibility for plan administration and investment decisions. Other key responsibilities include evaluating the impact of long-range planning, evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions or mergers, pension plans, investments and various benefit plans of the corporation. Brian joined Tunnell in 2002 as Controller, a role in which he managed the accounting team and helped to expand and strengthen the Finance department, which works closely with our core businesses in the Federal Government and Life Sciences Commercial areas. Before joining Tunnell he was a senior accountant at Smart & Associates and has held accounting and financial positions at Barbacane, Thornton, & Company and Keystone Financial Leasing Corporation. Brian is a CPA and has CGMA certification.
Jerry D Robinson
Senior Vice President, Government Services
Tunnell’s Senior Vice President for Government Services Jerry Robinson has more than 30 years of experience in government contracting, including experience with scientific services, technologies, software and solutions ranging from innovative C4ISR and advanced sustainment systems to counterterrorism, intelligence and integrated security solutions for clients in the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities. To his work with Tunnell’s government clients he also brings a strong background in finance and accounting that is invaluable for agencies that must do more with less in an age of tightening budgets. Formerly Chairman and CEO of SFA, Inc., a subsidiary of then Global Technology Strategies, Inc., a national security company, he has a deep understanding of the needs of government agencies and an extensive track record of working with them successfully. His prior experience also includes serving as Chief Financial Officer of SFA, Inc. In addition, he has held key finance positions at Vega Precision Laboratories, a defense electronics manufacturing company; Halifax Engineering, a government contracting IT and security service company; and Fairchild Industries.
Maria V Butz
Vice President, Human Resources
With extensive experience in both human resources and healthcare consulting, Maria Butz combines her skills and knowledge to direct Tunnell's human resources capabilities, emphasizing consultant competencies that deliver the utmost sensitivity to client needs. As a member of our Operating Committee, she is also engaged in strategic business development as Tunnell continues to execute its program of deliberate growth. Maria has served as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Life Bridge Health, where she developed and implemented a corporate human resources organization that supported the healthcare system strategically and operationally. She has also served as Corporate Vice President for Human Resources at Catholic Health East, developing and executing strategies, policies, and programs that successfully merged three healthcare systems. She has held a variety of human resources positions at PSE&G Enterprise Group, Penn Mutual Insurance, Educational Testing Service, and Fidelcor. She is also an experienced executive coach.
