History

Tunnell Consulting was founded in 1962, during a time of rapid economic expansion, fundamental changes in industrial manufacturing processes and innovations in systems management. A core group of forward-thinking experts offered consulting support to some of the world's largest manufacturers, and formed the foundations of today's Tunnell Consulting, an employee owned corporation (ESOP).

Pioneering and Importing
Best Practices

As our firm grew, we expanded to serve clients in a variety of industries from manufacturing to consumer products. Many of these were pioneering breakthrough approaches to efficiency, distribution, supply chain, and information technology. As our life sciences practice grew to become the largest in the firm, we imported those pioneering techniques and best practices from other industries into life sciences and earned a reputation in the industry for innovation and outstanding results.

Integrating Expertise

We also developed strong capabilities in the essential disciplines of consulting - change management, solution design, and implementation - as well as critical business disciplines. Integrating those capabilities with our experience and expertise in a number of industries, we provided holistic and comprehensive solutions to hundreds of clients.

Focusing Exclusively on the Life Sciences

More than a decade ago, we decided to fully leverage our unequalled ability to serve life sciences organizations by focusing exclusively on the industry. We now provide technical, regulatory, manufacturing and operational improvement services across the entire pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry from discovery through commercialization. Our expertise allows
us to provide both strategic solutions to complex and intricate industry problems and the tactical/technical services to successfully implement those strategies and deliver sustained competitive advantage for our clients today and in the future.

Entering the Government Arena

Our extensive capabilities in life sciences also led us in 2005 to begin consulting within the critical life science and biomedical R&D segments of the federal government. As pandemic disease preparedness and bioterrorism became ever more critical issues, Tunnell has increasingly worked with the DHHS and DOD.

Tunnell Today

Our clients today include major global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as numerous mid-size and emerging life sciences firms, and we continue to grow as a result of our reputation for delivering extraordinary results.
