Partnering with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to prepare for a potential avian flu pandemic. Tunnell is helping to develop vaccines and antiviral drug stockpiles for the bird flu. Tunnell has also been contracted to assist the government in developing new and promising flu vaccines and antiviral drugs for seasonal and pandemic uses.
Working with the National Institutes of Health to meet the President’s Management Agenda in Workforce Planning. Tunnell is helping government agencies become more citizen-centered and mission-critical by targeting systems that are most vital to day-to-day operations. Engaging in this process allows Tunnell to identify the needs and priorities of almost 30 operating units within NIH, quantify workforce gaps that most urgently need to be filled in the upcoming years, and recommend solutions to fill gaps and resolve workforce planning challenges.
Helping the Federal Law Enforcement Training Consortium fulfill its Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Exhibit 300 for requesting IT capital resources.

Effected widespread culture change for a major pharmaceutical organization, resulting in a twofold increase in manufacturing capacity and reducing batch record review cycle time by 50 percent.
Swiftly led an international pharmaceutical/biotechnology client out of "export hold" status after the FDA granted limited time for compliance remediation allowing resumption of product shipment.
