Knowledge and Experience:
Frank is the former Vice President, North American Operations, for Merck and Company, and brings extensive knowledge in regulatory strategy, R&D, and clinical manufacturing to the Tunnell Consulting team. With more than 30 years of experience in establishing and overseeing plants and improving manufacturing processes, Frank is supporting Tunnell’s work in designing and implementing successful strategic planning initiatives for pharmaceutical manufacturing and operational performance. Since retiring from Merck in 1991, he has consulted with pharmaceutical firms throughout the world, negotiating supply chain agreements, providing managerial and technical assistance in strategic planning, and assisting with business development. For the past several years, he has served as Senior Vice President of MOVA Pharmaceutical, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Genaera Corporation, a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical firm. He has brought his broad understanding of the industry to the University of Sciences in Philadelphia, formerly the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, where he has taught production management.
