Purchasing Compliance / Process Improvement |
| |
Client: |
A
division of a leading multi-national pharmaceutical and consumer health
corporation. |
| |
| |
Problem: |
Purchasing
procedures with a GMP impact needed to be incorporated into existing
or new SOPs to attain the company's compliance standards. In addition,
some procedures were not clearly defined and documented, causing inconsistency
in process tasks and uncertainty in transactional completions. |
| |
| |
Approach: |
The
purchasing administrative procedures that had an impact on GMP were
identified. The as-is process was documented and improved by minimizing
touch-points and manual tasks, eliminating duplication and creating
traceability. Missing GMP tasks were also identified and documented.
