industry best practices, review equipment and fixed plant functions,
and balance staffing to train schedules and freight car inspection
and repair standards. |

Final
report identified annual savings of $2,220,000 through improved workforce
efficiency, relocation of one repair facility, improved coordination
of material requirements, fixed plant improvements for dispatching
freight trains, and a reduction in support vehicles utilized in the
